Terms & Conditions
CG Guitar is committed to your success on the guitar. To ensure your success, consistency is a critical component. This means attending your lessons as scheduled and playing guitar most days. Below I have outlined some terms and conditions that are designed to keep you focused and on track. Please take some time to read these and if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask.
*Booking a lesson acts as an agreement to these terms & conditions*
Lesson Payment – All lessons must be paid for in advance or on the day of your first lesson. See payment policy for more details. Most major credit & debit cards are accepted.
Cancellations: – If you are unable to attend any kind of lesson and I am notified, a video lesson will be supplied to cover that week and you'll be assigned practice tasks to keep you on track. Please see the Refund Policy for more details.
1:1's
- Once the lessons have been scheduled and paid for, you are fully committed to the scheduled time and this is non-refundable.
- However, you can try to reschedule your lesson via the weekly schedule on your student/parent TeacherZone account if before 24 hours of your allocated lesson time. Available slots are subject to demand. If there is not a suitable slot available then you will have to cancel your lesson and you will receive a video lesson to study.
Group Lessons, 2:1's & Workshops - Once the lessons have been scheduled and paid for, you are fully committed to the term/dates and this is non-refundable and you are unable to reschedule.
Stopping Lessons – A month's notice is required if a student wishes to stop or put their lessons on hold.
Holidays
There are no lessons on bank holidays.
There is usually 2 week's break from lessons over the Christmas Holidays.
Please give a month's notice if you have any planned vacations or dates that will effect you attending your lesson. You can either inform CG Guitar to be taken out of the schedule (no charge) or you can reschedule or cancel your lesson/s yourself via your student or parent account (this way will count as an attended lesson. If cancelled yourself, you will receive a video lesson and educational materials to cover that period).
1:1 & 2:1
- These types of lessons continue as usual all year round. If you require an alternative slot or you will not be attending lessons during the holidays then you must notify CG Guitar or cancel?/reschedule your lesson via your student or parent TeacherZone account.
Group Lessons & 2:1's
- These run during term time only. 1:1's and workshops are available to supplement them in the holidays. So either contact CG Guitar about booking a lesson in the holidays or go ahead and buy a one off or a holiday lesson plan in the Payment/Billing section under "Buy Plan" on your TeacherZone account and chose an available lesson date/time.
Progress - Consistent practice is critical to your progress on guitar, but so is happiness and enjoyment! To encourage this, students will be provided with practice assignments each week within their TeacherZone profile. Please use the website or the app to log in and utilise the practice button at the start and end of each practice session. You can gain points and rewards for doing so and accessing your practice assignment and completing it.
Regular practice is a habit and desire that is developed over time through enjoyment of the learning process. So it may take some time to develop, but this will happen after the student has attended their lessons consistently for awhile and has been enjoying them. If you have any concerns please contact me about it so I can help. It's always a case by case scenario with this and treat every student individually.
Student Folder – You are required to supply a folder and bring it to every lesson with the necessary materials enclosed. Please bring all current sheets to every lesson in a folder. Please use a folder that can be opened like a book. Your materials can be found inside your TeacherZone account too in the Practice Files & Links of each practice assignment.
Guitar – You will need your own guitar, tuner and plectrums for every lesson. Please ensure your guitar is in tune before every lesson. If you break a string I can provide contact details for my guitar tech to fix it. Please contact me if you require these details.
Parents – For children under the age 13 I may require at least one parent or guardian to attend a lesson every now and again. This is to help parents understand what materials the student is studying and how parents can support students through their learning. I am always here to offer advice and ideas to use at home. From time to time we can schedule a parents evening style meeting to discuss the students progress and learning.

Privacy Disclaimer and Terms Of Use
CG Guitar is committed to maintaining your confidence and trust, and accordingly maintains the following privacy policy to protect personal information you provide online.
It is CG Guitar’s policy that personal information, such as your name, postal and e-mail address or telephone number, is private and confidential. Accordingly, the personal information you provide is stored in a secure location, is accessible only by designated staff, and is used only for the purposes for which you provide the information.
No Release of Information to Third Parties
Personal information will not be released to third parties. There are no circumstances under which CG Guitar will provide or sell personal information to third parties.
No Computer Tracking of Identifiable Information
CG Guitar's server is not set up to track, collect or distribute personal information about its visitors. It does recognise the referring server of visitors, but not e-mail addresses or any personal information. For example, we can tell which Internet Service Provider our visitors use, or what site they clicked in from, but not the names, addresses or other information about our visitors that would allow us to identify the particular visitors to our site.
CG Guitar is not responsible for the privacy practices or policies of sites we may provide a link to.
CG Guitar also uses third party re-marketing tracking cookies, including the Google Adwords tracking cookie. This means we will continue to show ads to you across the internet, specifically on the Google Content Network. As always we respect your privacy and are not collecting any identifiable information through the use of Google’s or any other third party re-marketing system.
The third-party vendors, including Google, whose services we use – will place cookies on web browsers in order to serve ads based on past visits to our website. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to your website. This allows us to make special offers and continue to market CG Guitar services to those who have shown interest in CG Guitar's services.
The reason for collecting this data and storing it is so CG Guitar can keep in touch with customers regarding lessons, payments, updates and from time to time marketing purposes. For example, workshops, new opportunities for students, and activities alike. If lessons are permanently terminated and you no longer wish CG Guitar to keep your details on record then please inform CG Guitar when doing so.

Refund Policy
Once you are booked in the schedule and lessons are paid they are non-refundable and you are committed to honouring the time you requested for your lessons.
On occasion there will be opportunity to adjust the schedule and move your lesson time. This will be subject to demand and availability, and at the discretion of CG Guitar.
Under special circumstances a refund may be actioned but this will be at the discretion of CG Guitar.

Payment Policy
CG Guitar accepts the following forms of payment:
- Visa
- Visa Electron
- Mastercard
- Maestro
- Plus most other major credit and debit cards.
You are required to purchase or pay for a lesson plan to access CG Guitar's professional lesson services. You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate purchase and account information for all purchases made via the CG Guitar portal and site. You further agree to promptly update account and payment information, including email address, payment method, and payment card expiration date, so that CG Guitar can complete your transactions and contact you as needed. CG Guitar bills you through an online billing account for purchases made via the CG Guitar portal and site. Sales tax will be added to the price of purchases as deemed required by CG Guitar. We may change prices at any time. But will give you 30 days notice via email before doing so. All payments shall be in British Pound Sterling.
You agree to pay all charges or fees at the prices then in effect for your purchased lesson plan, and you authorise CG Guitar to charge your chosen payment provider for any such amounts upon making your purchase. If your purchase is subject to recurring charges, then you consent to CG Guitar's charging your payment method on a recurring basis without requiring your prior approval for each recurring charge, until you notify us of your cancellation.
CG Guitar reserves the right to correct any errors or mistakes in pricing, even if we have already requested or received payment. We also reserve the right to refuse any order placed through the CG Guitar portal or site.
